Overview

A Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com Hons) is an undergraduate degree program in the field of commerce and business studies. Our B.ComHons programs focus on core disciplines of management, marketing, finance, economics, computers and human resources. The department may offer elective courses in specialised areas such as international business, e-commerce, and human resources management. 

Additionally, many B.Com programs include internships or fieldwork to provide students with hands-on experience in the business world. The commerce programme offered by the department of commerce emphasises an interactive teacher-learner environment facilitated by the use of presentations, role plays, case studies, group discussions, educational excursions, and the use of e-resources in teaching subjects like business laws, business economics etc.

The overall aim of the B.Com program is to provide students with a comprehensive education in the field of commerce and business studies and to prepare them for a wide range of career opportunities in business and management.

The department offers a prestigious three-year bachelor’s degree in commerce affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi.

The programme is a valuable preparation for various career options in the field of commerce. It facilitates the students to apply for higher education like ICAI, ICSI, ICWA, MBA, M. Com., and M.Sc. (Finance) in India and abroad. It also helps the students apply for job opportunities like financial analyst, government jobs, Bank PO exams, National Stock Exchange, SEBI, and private sector job opportunities. A team of professional experts deliver discourses on career guidance, personality development, and curriculum vitae designing, enabling them to face and clear any interview and professional exams. Our Training and Placement cell liaison with corporate organisations to provide suitable jobs and internships to the students. Our major internship and placement recruiters are IDBI, Indian Oil Corporation, I- Plan, Asia International, Acro HR, Reliance, Bajaj Capital, and Genpact.
